Buy in Accordance with Your Values

While stressful and painful, the pandemic has brought so many issues into the light, and for that we can be grateful because nothing changes or improves that is kept in the dark.  Having a chance to question ourselves about our values is a privilege and one that we should embrace.  Is sustainability as important to us as we say it is?  Is “Buy American” as important to us as we say it is? Neither of these values yield the cheapest price for a garment, but if you are buying in accordance to your values and with intention to buy for quality and longevity, you can feel great about your purchase.

This One Dress respectfully reminds you that we are 100% American made and women-owned and operated.  In This One Blog, we want to introduce you to our wonderful fabric supplier, Sextet Fabrics, Inc.  We have heard from so many of you about how much you love the soft, washable, durable fabric that we use to make This One Dress.  Is it cheap?  Hell no, but it’s the best which is why we chose it.  Wear it and wash it over and over, and it never pills or fades.  It’s knitted and dyed in the United States using eco-friendly dye methods.  We are deeply grateful to Barbara Ross, co-owner of the company, for her support in helping us start up This One Dress.  Find out more about them here.
